oh, boy do I love weddings. Growing up, being an adult, paying bills- it's all so scary and matur-ish, but what I most look forward to about growing up is all the weddings I get to attend! I spent tonight catching up with a friend I went to high school with who is in town for a bit and after watching Bachelorette (which really wasn't worth the redbox purchase), we spent an additional hour talking about how fantastic our weddings are going to be- filled with laughter, embarrassing parents, and incredibly uncoordinated white people dancing (thanks, uncultured North Idaho!).

I got the opportunity to see the most amazing wedding this weekend in Snohomish. The happy couple served each other during the ceremony by washing each other's feet, then they served communion to all the attendees showing how they will strive to serve others, as well. What a beautiful picture of God's love! I was really taken back and the visual followed me back home after the wonderful weekend away. I look forward to spending my life with someone who places God first and foremost in their life, with me following behind, with a heart of servitude. There is no greater love than the love Jesus showed on the cross, a love we should all strive to imitate.

My weekend was full of lacrosse games, Just Dance, pictures, late night Target runs, freezing temperatures, near-death car rides, and food. I love spending time with my Boise livin' family! Can't wait to share some photos of my beautiful lady-cousins soon.

I caught up with Atalie this weekend and finally shot her face. What was absolutely lovely was hearing all about her new goals for this coming year and some oh so exciting new projects she is taking on! I absolutely love her spirit and passion. Atalie's love for God, her husband, and friends just surrounds and envelopes her and it's a beautiful thing. I'm excited to maybe work together with her in the future and continue to see her journey. Thanks for a wonderful Saturday, Atalie!

I had such a fun time catching up with MK on Saturday. It seems like decades ago we did our first shoot! I'm so grateful and thankful to everyone who let me stick my lens in their face when I first started taking pictures. I was a risk. I could have completely botched pictures and memories could have been lost. but, because of people like MK who were able to help me gain the experience I needed, I have learned so much!

However, I can't take any of the credit for how incredible these pictures turned out. I mean, when you have cheek and jaw bones that look like they were carved by a God, it's a difficult task not to make those things look good in a picture.

Also, it started snowing halfway through our shoot. So cool.

One of my friends mentioned the other day that it seems like I am constantly taking pictures. At that moment, I realized he was right! I have sort of neglected my blog and instead been out on the street/balancing on a chair/crouching in a bush taking pictures and working out my skill muscle. Alright. I'm putting all my cards on the table. I know it may look like I've got an unhealthy obsession with cats, but it's not true. Well, not all true. You see, in the last two days I have received 3 new lenses (Merry Christmas to me!!! And thanks to my gurl Leah. You da bomb) and all I want to do is take pictures of everything in my house. The lamp, the chairs, the plants... Once I get desperate enough to start taking pictures of the ceiling, I know I need a real subject to focus on. I hate to bother my friends or family with my hobby, so I take the next best model- Ranger! Now, Ranger is my brother's cat and absolutely LOVES to be in front of the camera. It's funny- he'll actually start to purr when I take his picture!! So, I figure, it must not be a bother to him! And a trip home isn't ever half bad either.

And... that is all on my crazy cat story. I'm not really a crazy cat lady. Not really.
